Lixi has provided real-time x-ray solutions to businesses and governments worldwide since 1978. By utilizing technology developed at NASA, Lixi delivered the first portable real-time x-ray imaging scope. From this simple beginning Lixi went on to develop x-ray products used in a wide variety of industries for many different applications.

Lixi's customers include Fortune 100 and multinational companies such as AT&T, General Electric, Motorola, Ford Motor Company, Exxon-Mobil and Proctor & Gamble. Additionally, governmental agencies worldwide depend upon Lixi's technology every day.

  • Forensics analysis and package inspection during the Tylenol product tampering of 1984.
  • Profiling of the watermarks on U.S. Currency by the Department of Treasury during manufacture.
  • Quality control inspection for Kodak's phosphor medical imaging screens.
  • Measure the amount and distribution of super absorbent material in children's diapers.
  • Identify areas of pipe wall loss in insulated, operational piping systems.
  • Neutron Radiography technology used in fuel flow studies for General Motors.
  • Marine biologists utilized portable equipment to scan implanted identification tags in salmon life cycle studies.
  • Inspection of the Space Shuttle's insulated fuel lines for cracks.
  • In 1987, a Swedish Mount Everest expedition brought a Lixiscope which was used to x-ray the broken foot of an injured climber in a harsh environment.
  • Sports medicine, including, Doctor for the 1984 U.S. Olympics Gymnastics team; Miami Dolphins team doctor in Super Bowl XIX.
